Requirements vary based on the degree you're applying to, your level of education completed, and the country you live in. The drop down menus below will help you find information on what pre-requisites are recommended.

High school student
Apply for undergraduate admissions as a high school student if you're still in high school OR if you've earned a high school diploma but haven't completed any credits at a college or university and are under the age of 22.
Transfer student
Apply for undergraduate admissions as a transfer student if you've received a high school diploma and completed coursework at a college or university.
Mature student
Apply for undergraduate admissions as a mature student if you're 22 or older, have received a high school diploma, and haven't completed any credits at a college or university.
International student
You're an international student if you're not a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada.
Exchange student
Apply as an exchange student if you're currently attending one of 91·ðÒ¯'s international partner institutions and wish to take part in an exchange with 91·ðÒ¯.
Visiting student
Apply as a visiting student if you're pursuing post-secondary studies at another recognized university or college, and want to complete coursework at 91·ðÒ¯. Typically, visiting students do not intend to obtain a degree from 91·ðÒ¯, but want to transfer credits to their home institution.
Former student
Apply for re-admission if you've previously attended at least one semester at 91·ðÒ¯ and have been absent for a year or more OR if you've already graduated. If you've been absent for less than a year, you don't have to re-apply.
Graduate student
Apply for graduate student admissions if you already have an undergraduate degree and you're seeking a Master of Science degree at 91·ðÒ¯.

English language requirements
As English is the primary language of instruction at 91·ðÒ¯, students must possess a mastery of English sufficient to communicate effectively, follow lectures, and write assignments and examinations in English.
If asked, you must provide proof of one of the following:

High school (secondary) studies in English
Successful completion of at least three years of academic instruction at a Canadian secondary institution, as recognized by 91·ðÒ¯.
Post-secondary studies in English
Successful completion of at least 30 credit hours (or equivalent) at a post-secondary institution where English is the primary language of instruction, as recognized by 91·ðÒ¯.
Approved English language programs
If you meet 91·ðÒ¯'s academic requirements, but don't meet our English proficiency requirements, you may be offered conditional admission.
If you're offered conditional admission, you can enroll in 91·ðÒ¯'s English summer pathway program designed for students who need extra time and training to meet our English proficiency requirements, and who would like to benefit from additional transition time and academic preparation before full-time study.
- English Summer Pathway Program (June-August)
This program is offered during the summer. It includes classes in English and academic skills plus cultural trips and activities.
Once you successfully complete 91·ðÒ¯'s English language program, you will get unconditional admission to 91·ðÒ¯ (if you meet our academic requirements). No additional TOEFL or IELTS tests will be required.

You can also continue your English studies independently to raise your IELTS/TOEFL score and submit your improved results to our admission office for consideration at admissions@mta.ca
If you meet 91·ðÒ¯'s academic requirements, but can't provide proof of English proficiency, you may be offered conditional admission.
Please note: meeting the minimum English proficiency requirements does not guarantee admission to 91·ðÒ¯.
Pathway programs
Academic pathway programs
91·ðÒ¯ has collaborated with some other post-secondary institutions to provide an opportunity for students who have completed a two-year diploma or degree to be admitted to 91·ðÒ¯ with second or third-year standing.
English pathway programs
91·ðÒ¯'s English pathway programs are designed for students from non-English backgrounds who need extra time and training to meet our English proficiency requirements, and who would like to benefit from additional transition time and academic preparation before full-time studies.
